Orientations
Before or after you apply for admissions,
you'll want to take advantage of one or more of the various orientations
we offer to new, prospective, and returning students.
New Student Campus Tours & Orientations
Orientations are offered for new students at the start of
each fall, winter and spring quarters. These sessions offer
an overview of college support services and resources
and a tour of the campus. By attending, you'll also have a chance to speak to staff in many educational offices to ask questions. Typically, these sessions are scheduled a
week or two prior to the first day of classes.
Check the BCC
Events Calendar for dates of upcoming new student orientations. You may also arrange a campus tour with the Student Programs office.
New Student Advising & Registration Sessions
New student advising and registration sessions allow you to meet with an advisor, attend small group advising, and begin the registration process. Get insight on how to choose the classes that are right for you, get help with registration process, and ask questions! BCC staff will also explain BCC's different degrees and programs and provide an overview of resources you can take advantage of as a student. To find upcoming dates for these sessions, check the Advising
website, BCC Events
Calendar, or the Get
Started page.
Financial Aid Orientations
The BCC Financial Aid office offers an online, self-paced financial aid orientation for those students who are planning to apply for financial aid. This site will answer your basic questions and provide you with the important next steps for applying. Visit the Financial Aid Orienation site to get started with this resource!
