Join us for nine engaging monthly meetings to improve advising skills for serving our BC students.

All faculty and staff are welcomed to attend - especially those who are hoping to expand their knowledge of advising students.

Members and attendees will work with representatives from all departments across campus to break down the “silo effect”.

We will convene and use our one hour to:

  • seek more knowledge about other departments
  • share advising updates
  • problem solve current issues
  • identify advising resources

Monthly meetings are conducted on Tuesdays from 3:30 – 4:30 in D240H.

  • On Unemployment Insurance (UI),  have exhausted UI in last 24 months, or have received a layoff letter
  • Honorably discharged veteran in last 24 months.
  • Displaced homemaker, (lack job skills and divorced/widowed) in last 24 months
  • Receiving federal Food Stamps from DSHS
  • receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
  • limited income and limited college credits

Set in 17th Puritanical New England, this Newbery Award winning novel sets Kit, a teenager from Barbados against her strict relatives in colonial Connecticut.  Because of her friendship with a shunned Quaker woman and her own joyous behavior, Kit finds her own freedom and life in danger.

Bellevue College will be offering free public planetarium shows two Fridays of each month. Admission is free for each show but reservations must be made in advance, typically a week prior to each show. Reservations can be made through Brown Paper Tickets at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/ with the search term "Bellevue Planetarium." Each show consists of two professionally produced full-dome videos, as well as a live segment introducing that night's sky. Lake to Lake Bike Ride

Enjoy a non-competitive recreational ride with the whole family, ages 8 and up.

Registration opens at 8 am,  first riders leave at  9. Custom socks to the first 150 to register!

Start & End Location:  Lake Hills Community Park, 1200-164th Avenue SE

Two unique loops; a mostly flat Greenbelt Loop flat 8-mile route; and the Lake Loop which is a more challenging 22-mile route.  Routes are about 80% on-road and 20% off-road (gravel).  The routes take riders to and through Bellevue's award winning park system exploring hidden treasures of Bellevue.  Benefits the City of Bellevue youth camp scholarship fund.  Participants receive a t-shirt.  Volunteers are needed.
