|Presented by Dr. Michael Toohey Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy that consists of a number of interventions aimed at changing an individual’s cognitions (i.e., thoughts) and behaviors. In this symposium, Dr. Toohey will define CBT and when/how it is utilized. He will also discuss the interventions included in CBT. Michael J. Toohey, Ph.D. is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at Eastern Washington University. He completed his Internship at the VA Maryland Health Care System/ University of Maryland, Baltimore Internship Consortium and received his doctoral degree from Hofstra University in Clinical Psychology. This workshop assists those individuals that are receiving Unemployment Insurance (UI) and are planning to attend school at Bellevue College in completing the application necessary for UI compliance. This workshop starts at 2:30pm and typically takes 90 minutes.

Bellevue College will be offering free public planetarium shows in its Willard Geer planetarium on the evening of Friday, April 29, at 6 and 7 p.m. Admission is free for each show, but due to limited seating, reservations must be made in advance on Brown Paper Tickets (http://www.brownpapertickets.com).
