Prerequisite List

All students must complete the following requirements in order to be eligible for the BAS in Information Systems and Technology:

  • Associate’s degree in an IT or CS related field or with 90 equivalent credits with a minimum grade of 2.0 in all required courses (cumulative GPA 2.0)
  • Demonstrate completion of the following general education courses or their equivalent:
    • ENGL& 101
    • ENGL& 235/ENGL 201
    • 5-credits of Social Science from AAS-DTA transfer list *
    • 5-credits of Humanities from AAS-DTA transfer list
    • 6-credits of Natural Science from AAS-DTA transfer list
    • 5 credits of college level math

*Students selecting the Application Development or BI concentration do not need a social science pre-requisite (5 Cr).

Students must complete the following requirements (or their equivalents) in order to enter one of these concentrations and all technical prerequisite courses must have been taken in the past 5 years:
