Nuclear Medicine Application Instructions

Admission to the program is competitive. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission, as the number of qualified applicants may exceed the number of available enrollment spaces. New students are only accepted twice a year for Fall and Spring quarter admission.

Applications for Fall quarter admission will be accepted between June 1st and August 1st.

Applications for Spring quarter admission will be accepted between February 1st and March 1st

Application Procedure for Radiation & Imaging Nuclear Medicine Concentration

Step 1: Apply to Bellevue College for General Admission

If you are a first time BC student or a previous BC student who is returning to the college after four or more quarters, you must apply to the college first. Current BC students may skip Step 1 and start at Step 2.

  • Apply for general admission to Bellevue College and pay the $34.00 non-refundable admission fee. (Students who are returning to Bellevue after 4 or more quarters will need to re-apply for general admission)
  • Use your SID and PIN to set up your NetID. Your NetID is used to access many online, desktop and networking services including Canvas. Your NetID is required to log in and complete the application for all Radiation and Imaging Bachelor of Science programs.

Complete Step 1 at least two weeks prior to the August 1st deadline. Processing time is typically 5-10 business days.

Step 2: Pay the RAIS Program Application Fee

To pay your RAIS program application fee, please use your SID and PIN at Registration Login using the instructions below.

  • Use your SID and PIN to log into Registration Login.
  • Under “Select Quarter” choose “Fall 2016”.
  • Register using item #: APPP
  • Pay the $125.00 (non-refundable) RAIS Program application fee.
  • Print/save a copy of your receipt in pdf, jpg or jpeg format before logging out. This receipt needs to be uploaded into the program application online. Applications will not be processed without this receipt.

Step 3: Fill out the RAIS Application Form

Use your BC NetID to complete the online Radiation and Imaging Science Nuclear Medicine application. Please have the following items ready for submission with your application.

  • Unofficial transcripts from all colleges you have attended (jpeg, jpg, pdf)
  • Copy of all current national certifications or expected date of completion (jpeg, jpg, pdf)
  • Receipt for program application fee (jpeg, jpg, pdf)
  • Personal statement (no more than 500 words)
    • Prompt: Please give us a personal statement discussing your work experience; your personal and professional goals; advanced certifications you already possess; any specific or unique attributes that you will bring to the program; any challenges or hardships you have overcome in pursuing your educational or work goals; or any other special considerations that you believe will make you a good candidate for the program.

Step 4: Submit your supporting documents

Submit the following supporting documents by mail:

  • Official Transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges attended, other than Bellevue College, demonstrating completion of the following courses, or their equivalent, with a grade point average of 2.5 or better:
    • English Composition I
    • Intermediate Algebra (or assessment into a higher level mathematics course)
    • Human Anatomy and Physiology I
    • Human Anatomy and Physiology II
    • Humanities course
    • Social sciences course
  • Two letters of recommendation, on company letterhead, from someone who personally knows your work, such as your current or past supervisor, discussing your contributions to your work place and how they believe you will benefit from completion of the BAS program. If you are applying for this program immediately after completing an associate degree program, the letters of recommendation may be from your instructors on college letterhead.

Readmission/Reinstatement

For those students who were previously accepted into the Radiation & Imaging Sciences program but were unable to continue in the program there is a separate application process.

  1. Complete a RAIS Request for Reinstatement Application. Applications must be received by no later than 30 days prior to the next available quarter start.
  2. Return completed application to:
