The BCC Life Science Informatics Center develops program building resources for Community and Technical Colleges. Please feel free to download any or all of our publications for your use. Each resource features a Tool Tips sheet that provides a summary of the tool, as well as tips for program building, faculty development and instruction. Life Science Informatics Trends Analysis for Community College Program Builders

Life science informatics is an educational content area ripe for exploration. It fuels the growth of the biotechnology industry. The following two documents are referenced within the Prior Learning Assessment Template and offered here as a supplement. Both were developed and first published in 2001 by Michèle Royer, Ph.D., and Sandra Mikolaski, Ph.D., Bellevue Community College and validated and piloted by IT faculty from Bellevue Community College, Edmonds Community College, and Pierce College in 2001-2002. The documents were revised in July 2002 by Michèle Royer, Ph.D., Bellevue Community College.The project was funded by the Regional Skills Gap Consortium.
