Requirements

International students seeking admission to the BC’s bachelor program must meet both international student and the respective bachelor program’s admission requirements. Below are the international student admission requirements handled by ISP. Please work directly with the respective bachelor program’s office for their admission processes. Bachelor’s program requires acceptance to both International Student Programs and respective bachelor’s program.

  • A TOEFL score of 61 (iBT) or higher.
  • An academic IELTS overall band score of 6.0 with all sub-scores 5.5 or higher.
  • Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and O Level English with a grade C or higher.
  • Two years of non-ESL English classes in an American high school or an international school with a recommended GPA of 2.50, reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Successful completion of the BC Bridge program.
  • An “A-“ grade in Integrated Skills 5 and “B-“ in all other classes in the Intensive English/University Preparation program that quarter.
  • „„Proof of English language proficiency requirement will be waived if an applicant has attended at least 3 years of secondary education in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand or the United States.

Important notes: 

* Concurrent students planning to take BC’s online courses within the US must first check for enrolment eligibility at http://www.bellevuecollege.edu/elearning/out-of-state/. Then contact ISP for admissions.

**Applicants at the age of 16 must submit proof of high school graduation before a college-level class starts at BC. In addition, two required forms must be completed and signed: the Underage – Attorney-in-fact Contact Info form and the Underage – Power of Attorney for Health Care form.

*** Official bank statement with a minimum balance of $23,972 USD. Add $5,000 for each dependent. Statement must be less than 6 months old. If there is a sponsor within the U.S., both bank statement and Affidavit of Support (I-134) form are required.

**** For admission purpose, unofficial transcript in English is accepted. However, if you have post-secondary credits from a Ministry of Education approved institution and wish to have your credential evaluated by the Evaluation office upon enrollment at BC, you will be required to submit an official transcript both in English and in your native language in a sealed envelope.
