Premiere Air Force jazz band to perform at BCC
BELLEVUE, WASH.– The Airmen of Note, the premiere jazz band of the United States Air Force, will appear in public performance at Bellevue Community College on May 13.
The event, which is free of charge, begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Gymnasium on the college’s main campus (3000 Landerholm Circle S.E., Bellevue, off 148th Ave S.E.).
Based in Washington, D.C., the Airmen of Note jazz band has earned an international reputation as one of the finest and most versatile big bands of its kind in the world.
Originally created in 1950 to carry on the tradition of Glenn Miller’s Army Air Corps dance band, the Airmen of Note is one of today’s few touring big bands, and has attracted 18 of the finest musicians in the country.
The concert is presented by Bellevue Community College’s Music Department and the Associated Student Government.
