Bill O’Connor named athletic director

BELLEVUE, WASH.– Bill O’Connor, of Bellevue, a former professional athlete and college head coach, has been named Athletic Director for Bellevue Community College.

O’Connor had been serving as Interim Athletic Director since 2003.

In 1963 O’Connor played professional basketball as a forward for the New York Knicks. From 1972 to 1977 he served as head basketball coach for Seattle University.

As Athletic Director at BCC, O’Connor will oversee all of the college’s athletic programs, which include teams in men’s and women’s basketball, men’s baseball, women’s softball, women’s volleyball, women’s tennis, men’s and women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s cross-country.
