Free job training classes for immigrants and refugees
BELLEVUE, WASH. -- Low-income parents who need English training to find a job can apply for Bellevue Community College’s free WorkFirst English-as-a-Second-Language Customer Service Training program.
This training helps students overcome the challenges of finding a job in the U.S. when English is not their first language. Students learn English language and customer service skills. They also receive basic computer instruction and job-search preparation, including how to write a resume, complete application forms and prepare for interviews.
The training dates are April 4 to June17, 2005. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 12:30- 4:20 p.m. Training will take place on the Belleuve Community College campus (3000 Landerholm Circle S.E., Bellevue).
To be eligible, students must have dependent children, have permission to work in the United States and be low-income.
