BCC Gallery Space features
sculptures by Seattle’s
Mark Calderon
BELLEVUE, WASH. – Works by Seattle sculptor Mark Calderon are
on exhibit through Dec. 11 at Bellevue Community College’s
Gallery Space.
Gallery
Space is located in Room 271 of the D Building on BCC’s
main campus (3000 Landerholm Circle S.E. in Bellevue, at
the intersection of S.E. 28th St. and 148th Ave. S.E.). The
gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 2:50 p.m., Wednesday through
Saturday.
Calderon
is known for infusing his sculptures with inspiration from
other cultures and with spiritual and religious references.
His
works have been exhibited widely on the west coast for many
years, as well as in galleries in New York and Philadelphia
and in corporate offices across the nation.
Calderon
has received numerous grants, fellowships and commissions,
including the 1997 Seattle Artists award from the Seattle
Arts Commission.
