BCC’s Gallery Space features abstract works by Kevin Marc Bernstein
Exhibit opens April 13 with 6 p.m. public artist’s reception
BELLEVUE, WASH. – A BCC Gallery Space exhibit of abstract paintings on canvas and paper by Kevin Marc Bernstein will open Friday, April 13, with a free, public reception for the artist from 6 to 8 p.m.
The works will remain on display through May 3 in Gallery Space, which is located in room 271 of the D Building on BCC’s main campus (3000 Landerholm Circle S.E. in Bellevue, at the intersection of S.E. 28th St. and 148th Ave. S.E.).
Gallery Space hours are noon - 4 p.m. on Saturdays, Mondays and Tuesdays, 1:30 - 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and 2 - 6 pm on Thursdays. Gallery Space is closed on Fridays (except for opening receptions) and Sundays.
“The natural world is truly humbling and inspiring,” Bernstein says in an artist’s statement on his website. “Through my work I hope to better understand nature as a primal source in a complex and ever-changing world in need of preservation and restraint…. I am attempting to create something that invokes an experience that is as powerful and felt to me as that which I may happen upon in nature.”
A Master of Fine Arts graduate from the University of Washington, Bernstein has taught at the UW and is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Puget Sound.
