Eastside Moving Company’s Cinco de Mayo concert to feature Latin, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop dance styles

BELLEVUE, WASH. – Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Bellevue Community College’s Eastside Moving Company dance troupe May 3, 4 and 5.

Known for its blend of talent and enthusiasm, the Eastside Moving Company will perform Latin, jazz, contemporary and hip hop works by professional and student choreographers.

The concerts will also feature flamenco performances by local artists Zamani Flamenco ensemble, Savannah Suentes and Natalya Karimova.

The BCC troupe will premiere works by local choreographers Deborah Wolf, Christy McNeil-Dobson, Kerry Lee Florentine and Daniel Cruz. They will also perform works by Rhonda Miller, of New York, and Adam Parson, of L.A. Dance Force.

All performances begin at 8 p.m. in BCC’s Carlson Theatre on the college’s main campus (3000 Landerholm Circle S.E., Bellevue, at the intersection of S.E. 28th St. and 148th Ave. S.E.).

The production is directed by BCC Dance Instructor Betty Ann Platt.
