BCC’s International Scholar-in-Residence to discuss Arabic culture and life in Oman in free public lecture March 1

BELLEVUE, WASH. – Bellevue Community College’s 2006-07 international scholar-in-residence, Fahad al-Balushi of Oman, will present a free public lecture entitled “Oman Today” at 12:30 p.m. Thurs., March 1, in room 130 of the C Building on the college’s main campus.

 

Al-Balushi is the fifth international scholar brought to BCC in recent years and the fourth to be supported by the prestigious U.S. Fulbright international education program – in this case the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program.

 

A graduate of Sultan Qaboos University, al-Balushi is teaching a full-year's program in Arabic language and culture at BCC.
