Eastside Moving Company dance ensemble to perform
Reinking’s “Nilsson Schmilsson” May 8-10
BELLEVUE -- Bellevue Community College’s Eastside Moving Company dance troupe will feature “Nilsson Schmilsson,” by Bellevue-based, Tony Award-winning choreographer Ann Reinking when the ensemble presents its annual spring concert May 8, 9 and 10.
All performances begin at 8 p.m. in BCC’s Carlson Theatre (located in Building E on the south courtyard of the college’s main campus).
Tickets, at $8 general admission and $7 for students and seniors, are available by calling 425-564-3114 or emailing lpatnoe@bcc.ctc.edu.
“Nilsson Schmilsson,” which was a favorite with Seattle audiences when it was originally performed by Spectrum Dance Theater, has been restaged for the Eastside Moving Company by Allie Keppel and Stanley Perryman.
Eastside Moving Company will also perform choreography by Seattle teacher-choreographer Kerri Lee Florentine; Christina McNeil and Deborah Wolf, both of Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle; and Adam Parson, a member of L.A. Dance Force and director of Commonality Dance Company.
Performances of student choreography and appearances by special guest artists from Ballet Bellevue will complete the evening.
The production is directed by BCC Dance Instructor Betty Ann Platt.
BCC’s main campus is located at 3000 Landerholm Circle S.E., Bellevue, at the intersection of S.E. 28th St. and 148th Ave. S.E.
