BCC Athletics to host, televise
NWAACC All-Star games March 9

BELLEVUE, WASH. – The Bellevue Community College Athletics Department will host and televise the four 2008 NWAACC Sophomore All-Star Basketball Games on Sunday March 9. The NWAACC, or Northwest Athletics Association of Community Colleges, spans all of Washington and Oregon.

Expected to be announced later this week, the teams will comprise the top sophomore male and female athletes from each of the NWAACC’s four regions.

BCC’s College Channel (Comcast Channel 28 in East King County) will televise all four games live. Comcast will make the games available for free replay statewide via the On Demand service for its digital cable subscribers.

Competition will begin with a pair of women’s games. The Southern Region All-Stars will take on the Western Region All-Stars at 11:00 am, followed by the Northern Region vs. the Eastern Region at 12:30 pm.

The day finishes with the men’s games. The Southern and Western Region All-Stars square off at 2:00 pm, and the Northern and Eastern Regions play the final game at 3:30 pm.
