Prerequisites

Science Instrutor To be considered, applicants must have completed (or be in the process of completing) the following prerequisite courses. Course numbers are according to the new Washington State community college common course numbering system, which took effect in the summer of 2008. Follow the link below to find the course numbers in effect before that time. The effect of common course numbering for Bellevue Community College is discussed on the Common Course Numbering web page.

Note: if you are planning to take prerequisites at Bellevue Community College, all of the above course numbers are correct EXCEPT the physics sequence, for which the correct courses are PHYS 114, 115, 116. BCC has maintained its physics course numbering to align with the University of Washington's numbering.

Transcript review is available through the program director.  Please fax a copy of your transcripts to Jennifer Prekeges, (425) 564-4193, with an indication on how to reach you with the result of the evaluation.

Important Note: Students who do not already possess an associate's or bachelor's degree also need to bring college classes  meeting BCC General Education requirements in the following areas (at least three credits for each bullet point):

A list of BCC courses meeting the requirements may be reached via this link: www.bellevuecollege.edu/catalog/degrees/gened/.  Courses listed in each area are given a '2' or '3' depending on how much of the course is devoted to the general education topic. A general education requirement is fulfilled by taking one course rated '3' or two courses rated '2'.  The BCC Evaluations Office can assist with determining if these requirements have been met.
