Bridge Program

What is it?

It is a quarter-long program that combines advanced ESL and one 5-credit college class to prepare students to enter an American college or university. Topics covered are summarization, oral presentations, use of reference materials, effective preparation and test taking skills and taking responsibility for learning. There is a heavy emphasis on the development of critical thinking skills.

For whom?

Students whose TOEFL or IELTS score are slightly lower than the college’s requirements.

How long?

One quarter only. A quarter is 3 months long.

How many hours per day?

All Bridge students register for at least 2 classes for a total of 14 credits.

Age Requirements

Minimum 16 years of age with proof of high school graduation.  Students 16-17 must also submit the Underage – Attorney-in-fact Contact Info form and the Underage – Power of Attorney for Health Care form..

Quarterly Full-time ESL Tuition and Fees

Tuition amount varies; however, most Bridge students pay about $3,200, plus books and supplies.

Payment Due Date

All new students must pay their tuition and fees in full by the Orientation date or earlier.
