Intensive English (ESL) Program


What is it?

It is an AAIEP (American Association of Intensive English Programs) certified program that brings students up to proficient levels in speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar to be prepared to enter American colleges and universities.

For whom?

Primarily for students preparing to enter an American college or university and need to improve their academic English skills. The program is rigorous and requires daily attendance and active participation in all classes.

Students who wish to improve their general English skills for their career or personal reasons would benefit from this structured and challenging setting.

How long?

There are five levels and each level is about 10 weeks long during fall, winter, and spring quarters. Summer is only 7 weeks long, but the number of instructional hours is the same as other quarters.

How many hours per day?

In fall, winter, and spring quarters, classes meet Monday through Friday from 12:30pm to 4:20pm. In summer, classes meet Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 3:40pm.

Age Requirements

16 years of age. (Students 16-17 year-old must complete the Underage – Attorney-in-fact Contact Info form and the Underage – Power of Attorney for Health Care form.)

Quarterly full-time ESL tuition and fees

$3,153.35 per quarter, plus books and supplies.

Payment Due Date

All new students must pay their tuition and fees in full before the ESL placement tests.
