Volunteer Opportunities

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES are a great way for students to engage in work that they are passionate about.  Oftentimes, sociology students ask, “What can I do to make the world a better place?”  Well, it can start here!  Hopefully, you can find something that you’re passionate about, because that will make it all the more rewarding for you.  Volunteer opportunities are also an excellent way to get some work experience under your belt, make professional connections, and build a resume.  And, if you’re applying to a university, don’t forget to talk about this experience in your personal statement!

The Sociology Program has compiled for you some local organizations that are often looking for volunteers.  When contacting them, be sure to tell them that you are a Bellevue College student!
