English - Combination Classes

ARTS & HUMANITIES DIVISION

Select the item number next to each section to view class availability.

The English Department’s “combination classes” give students the opportunity to approach two topics at the same time to improve their skills and understanding of both. For example, in a 10-credit composition and literature combination, students read, discuss, analyze, and write about significant literary works. The Department recommends that students in combination classes have college-level placement.

The plays of William Shakespeare are still alive and vital, still funny and tragic and thrilling. Whether you’re only casually acquainted with Shakespeare or have acted in some of the plays, two of BCC’s veteran instructors will help you explore the themes, the history, the language and, above all, the timeless stories that still inspire and delight us.
