Transportation Kickoff to Fall Quarter = Success!

As we’re nearing the close of our first full month of the school year, the Office of Sustainability is winding down the big transportation focus that kicked off the quarter.  You may have seen our display case in the cafeteria, and noticed ORCA to-go and the various Transportation Assistance tables that we had spread around campus in partnership with HopeLink.

So now we’ve reached the important step of evaluation.  Here’s are some stats:

                  • Students served: 460
                  • Volunteer hours: 64
                  • Volunteers trained: 16 (7 were BC students)
                  • Volunteers who provided assistance: 11

Students received help with questions about such topics as:

                  • TransitChek for ORCA and ORCA card
                  • Online Trip Planning
                  • RideMatch
                  • Metro and Sound Transit Schedule Questions
                  • Parking Passes/policies
                  • Biking Support
                  • Regional Reduced Fare Permit

Clearly we had some excellent volunteers, and Hopelink, the folks from ORCA To-Go, and Pamela Cook from Metro provided some great resources!

Stay tuned for Winter quarter!
