On December 11th, King County Metro held an open house at Bellevue City Hall to discuss proposed service cuts related to a funding shortfall.  The meeting allowed the opportunity for one-on-one dialogue with the Metro transit planners that assess data and make key decisions on where routes go and how often.

The Associated Student Government (ASG) and Office of Sustainability took the opportunity to advocate for removing the propose reroute of the 245 and 271 to 148th bypassing campus.  This is just the first event of a planned campaign led by the Associated Student Government and support by the College to stop this cut.   The BC’s President has being speaking with elected officials and the College is collaborating with the City of Bellevue Transit Master Plan which emphasizes preserving frequent, direct service to important destinations like Bellevue College.
