Outreach and Events Internship – NW SEED

Northwest SEED is looking for a motivated, energetic person to organize and coordinate workshops and outreach events related to their solar programs.  Primary support will be for the Solarize Washington program that combines community organizing and a group purchase model to encourage widespread solar adoption.  As an integral member of the project team, the intern will work with staff to engage local residents through marketing, grassroots organizing, outreach event planning, creation of public education materials, and direct collaboration with program partners.  The intern will develop skills in volunteer management, community organizing, and public speaking while gaining hands on experience in the clean energy sector.

This internship is based in Northwest SEED’s downtown office with a desired start date of early March, 2014.  The intern must be available to work some nights and weekends. Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, for a 6 month period is required.
