Dance Program Information

The Dance department at Bellevue College offers courses in Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Jazz and Tap Technique. The program is designed to engage beginners and continuing students and there are options for those with advanced ability. All classes may be taken for either Dance credit or PE credit. Proficiency attained in these classes allows students to adapt to multiple styles of choreography and ultimately enhance their personal artistic exploration.

In addition to the courses, the program has a student-generated dance ensemble called BC/DC (Bellevue College Dance Company). Students interested in joining the ensemble can contact the Director, Jenna Spinei or Tammi Doyle for more information.

All LEVEL I classes may be taken by students with no previous dance training, as well as students who are continuing.

LEVEL II classes include those who have completed the BC LEVEL I class or the equivalent in previous training.

Questions regarding placement should be addressed to:
Jenna Spinei (jenna.spinei@bellevuecollege.edu) or Tammi Doyle (tammi.doyle@bellevuecollege.edu).

If a class is full, students may waitlist for the desired class and attend on the first day.

A dance class is the perfect choice to de-stress, build confidence, become more flexible and integrate mental and physical abilities.
