Bellevue Community College Project

 

In a highly competitive process, Bellevue Community College was awarded a $1,629,692 five-year development grant, beginning October 1, 2003. Project activities include support for the new degree audit system, online advising resources, retention of students of color, assessment of General Education competencies, the customized Portal and workflow systems. Strengthening Institutions, Title III

 

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the Strengthening Institutions Program assists eligible institutions of higher education to become self-sufficient by providing funds to improve and strengthen their academic quality, institutional management, and fiscal stability. One-year planning grants and five-year development grants are awarded. Funds may be used for faculty development, funds and administrative management, development and improvement of academic programs, joint use of facilities, and student services.
