Objectives

 

Advising Objective 1 (years 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5)

Increase student use of the online methods for accessing advising information (including email, advising website, online workshops).

 

Advising Objective 2 (years 1 and 2)

Increase the number of faculty fully competent in the use and application of advising techniques and services, especially in regards to assisting at risk students.

 

Advising Objective 3 (years 3, 4 and 5)

Increase the percentage of faculty and advising staff reporting high confidence in their ability to give accurate and appropriate advice to students regarding their educational plan.

 

Customized Portal Objective 1 (years 2, 3, 4 and 5)

Increase the number of departments, units and special interest groups utilizing “MyBCC” websites.

 

Degree Audit Objective 1 (year 2)

Increase the percentage of all fulltime faculty and advising staff competent in the new online Degree Audit System.

 

Degree Audit Objective 2 (years 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5)

Increase student use of self-service online Degree Audit System to track their academic progress.

 

General Education Objective 1 (year 1)

Increase the number of faculty assessing General Education competencies for infusion into the classroom.

 

General Education Objective 2 (years 2, 3, 4 and 5)

Increase the percentage of fulltime faculty actively developing classroom assessments for General Education competencies.

 

Student Success Objective 1 (years 2, 3, 4 and 5)

Decrease the retention gaps among under represented populations.

 

Workflow Objective 1 (years 2, 3, 4 and 5)

Increase the percentage of employees competent in the use of BCC’s newly established academic, management, and fiscal stability systems.
