Robin Jeffers
Outcomes Assessment Coordinator
Robin was hired in March 2004 as the Outcomes Assessment Coordinator. She helps
faculty assess General Education competencies for infusion into the classroom.
She plans and leads many assessment activities throughout the year and chairs the
Assessment Coordinating Team and the General Education Implementation Committee.
She is BCC’s Assessment Liaison to the State Board for Community and Technical
Colleges and regularly designs and facilitates workshops for that organization.
A consultant, speaker, panelist and workshop designer, Robin is an expert on
learning assessment topics. Robin has a Master of Arts Degree from the University
of California Los Angeles and a California Community College Teaching Credential.
As a part-time instructor, Robin has been a member of the BCC English Department
since 1992. She has taught a wide range of English and composition courses at BCC,
UCLA and Don Bosco Technical Institute.
Henry Amaya
Student Retention Specialist
Henry has been working with Multi-Cultural Services at Bellevue Community College since November 2005. He was hired as the full-time Title III Retention Specialist in April 2006. Henry has developed and directed Title III Student Success projects including mentoring, study groups, student leadership training, tutor training on aspects of tutoring in a multicultural environment, and learning communities. He is also part of various campus committees whose focus is student success and is also involved with various student clubs. Additionally, he is available to work with students on an individual basis.
Henry came to Bellevue Community College from Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wisconsin where he worked in the Adult Continuing Education Division as well as in the College Access Program. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and is currently working on his Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Eden Lasater
Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Eden joined BCC and the Title III team as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in the Technology Development & Support Services unit of the Information Resources Division in April 2006. In her position, Eden has advanced the goals of the Customized Portal project by developing a Software Development Life Cycle that now supports all development work on the Portal. Eden has also been instrumental in implementing the Test environment for the Portal.
Before coming to BCC, Eden was employed as a software tester at Aztecsoft itest (formerly Disha Technologies) where she tested various Microsoft technologies. From software testing, she moved into a position at Aztecsoft as a fulltime project coordinator where she planned and led quality assurance activities on various projects. In addition to project coordination, she also managed offshore teams in India. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Evergreen State College.
