Center title. Use MLA format for title (see instructions in syllabus)

Leave approximately one-inch margins all around.

Topic

Write an essay in which you discuss the following question: Is it acceptable for the U.S. government to suspend civil liberties for reasons of national security?

Be very specific in your answer. Give examples.

Requirement: Refer to specific information garnered from the video Unconstitutional, Doug Honig's talk, and When the Emperor Was Divine as examples for your essay.

Be sure to give adequately and effectively developed reasons for your position.

Note: The five-paragraph essay will not be adequate for this assignment. Do not limit yourself to just five paragraphs!
