                                                                SYLLABUS / DATELINE

 

Following is a list of the studio work and required assignments for the Beginning Drawing course, with corresponding dates.  Unless unforseen circumstances arise that would necessitate class cancellation, you can assume these DUE DATES ARE SET.  Remember that work turned in late will be lowered in grade (one point off per class day late).  As you can see, many drawing methods are discussed in class and likewise a lot of lab work and assignments are due.  Please keep current by regular attendance, taking notes, bringing the necessary drawing materials to class, and turning in work on time.

 

The schedule briefly indicates what we will be covering in the class by stating:

                STUDIO:  lectures, demos, drawing objectives covered

                +/- :            when an in-class drawing (non-graded) is due

                ASSIGN:  when a homework assignment is given out and explained

                DUE:         when an in-class or homework drawing (graded) is DUE

                                                                Line, basic construction with scale and proportion

 

MON – 4/9            STUDIO:                Sighting techniques, Negative Shape

FINAL MEETS on _______________________________.  This is not mandatory attendance, it is simply an opportunity to pick op final drawings and meet with instructor if desired.

 

 

This dateline is meant to help you organize your schedule and give concrete DUE DATES for assignments.  Please keep this and refer to it regularly.

 

As noted above, having the appropriate materials for assignments is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.  It is critical to have appropriate materials with you to be able to complete the coursework.
