Need help planning your next couple of quarters? Confused about the classes you need or the program you should follow? Take control of your education at Bellevue College by learning the ins-and-outs of education planning! If you are in your first or second quarter at Bellevue College this workshop will help you to better understand the requirements for your degree or certificate, learn how to effectively navigate Bellevue College’s many resources, and create your own education plan for the next 1-2 quarters!

Health Science and Wellness General Information Session

Geared toward students looking into programs within Health Sciences and Wellness at Bellevue College.  Students will learn the scope of work for each career path and get a brief overview of prerequisites for each program. Students will be guided to make an education plan for themself as well. 

Programs include, Allied Health [Medical Assistant, Medical Billing & Coding, Phlebotomy, etc.], Diagnostic Ultrasound, Health and Physical Education [Yoga Instruction, Wilderness Skills, Personal Fitness], Health Promotion and Management, BAS, Healthcare Informatics, BAS [Online Program], Healthcare Management and Leadership, BAS [Online Program], Neurodiagnostic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Nursing (ADN), RN to BSN, Nursing Assistant Certified Program, Radiation and Imaging Sciences, BAS [Online Program], Radiation Therapy, Radiologic Technology.

 

Science-Specific Sessions

  • Students in their first few quarters at Bellevue College will benefit most from these sessions.
  • Please come with questions! We can discuss class planning, prerequisites for your program, transferring to a university, useful educational planning tools and resources, and more.
  • These sessions will last up to 1.5 hours (students are not required to stay the whole time) and will serve up to 10 students per session.

Computer Science *None currently scheduled

 Geared towards students in their first year of courses at Bellevue College who are interested in majoring in Computer Science. This will benefit both students who want to transfer to a University as well as those who would like to complete the Bachelors degree in Computer Science at Bellevue College.

Engineering *None currently scheduled

Geared towards students in their first year of courses at Bellevue College who are interested in majoring in Engineering of any type, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Civil, Chemical, and Biological, etc. This will benefit students who want to transfer to a University to complete their Engineering degree.

Pre-Professional Health *None currently scheduled

Geared towards students in their first year of courses at Bellevue College who are interested in Pre-Professional Health, such as Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Veterinary and other professional programs. Discussion will center around general preparation for these programs, specifically focusing on programs in Washington state.

General STEM *None currently scheduled

Geared towards students in their first year of courses at Bellevue College who are interested in majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) field . This will benefit both students who want to transfer to a University as well as those who would like to complete a Bachelors degree at Bellevue College.
