What can BC do for you?  Regardless of where you come from, BC has amazing resources.  It has caring employees, diverse students, and support waiting to be tailored to your needs.

What advice can you give a student? Always ask questions!  Oftentimes it is so easy to talk yourself out of asking questions.  Whether it be clarifying what an instructor said, utilizing resources offered, or gathering information– you must ask.  I am a firm believer in the saying, “no question is a dumb question.”  You have an institution filled with people waiting to assist you through this transition period in your life.

Hobbies/Interests: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.  Social Justice.  Traveling.  Tattoos.  Reading.  Adventures.

Ask Them About: My quotes!  Let’s talk about why you agree or disagree.  Honestly, I love to talk so you can’t go wrong with either.  If you don’t want to talk about my quotes then just talk.  I’ll be waiting.

Favorite Quotes:

“Black and Third World people are expected to educate white people as to our humanity.  Women are expected to educate men.  Lesbians and gay men are expected to educate the heterosexual world.  The oppressors maintain their position and evade their responsibility for their own actions.  There is a constant drain of energy which might be better used in redefining ourselves and devising realistic scenarios for altering the present and constructing the future.”

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
