The Department of Applied Linguistics and Language consists of classes in accent modification, academic writing, listening to lectures, formal and informal speaking and internship preparation. Students:
 
  • increase the range and accuracy of their grammar and vocabulary so they can edit their own writing for academic courses and comprehend texts at an undergraduate level,
  • improve their ability to understand academic lectures,
  • learn to express their ideas more succinctly and clearly in all disciplines, and
  • prepare to enter the workforce upon completion of studies.
