{"id":222,"date":"2025-08-21T01:10:59","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T08:10:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/asc-redesign-dev\/?page_id=222"},"modified":"2026-07-16T09:22:32","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T16:22:32","slug":"become-a-tutor","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/asc\/tutoring\/become-a-tutor\/","title":{"rendered":"Become a Tutor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-bc-sitka-spruce-narrow-content narrow-content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-lead lead\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tutor Application Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hiring For 2026-2027 Academic Year Has Concluded<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Academic Success Center (ASC) primarily conducts hiring during the Spring quarter to prepare for the upcoming academic year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Though the hiring period has concluded, the ASC will continue to accept student tutor applications to keep on file. If tutoring positions become available, submitted applications will be reviewed for possible tutor candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For Your Information<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ideal candidates will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a current Bellevue College student, enrolled in at least one credit in all terms worked.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agree to work with the ASC for a minimum of three academic quarters (ex. Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Spring 2027).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commit to attending approximately 16 hours of training sessions: 6 hours of in person trainings, 10 hours of remote asynchronous training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan to work between 2 to 10 hours per week during the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters of a school year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Overall GPA of 3.2 or above (or upward GPA trajectory), in current or previous education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A, A- or B+ in subject areas applicant wishes to tutor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tutors Needed For the Following Subjects\/Courses:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N\/A.
