When I was a kid I got really interested in astronomy. I convinced my Dad to get us a small telescope, and I was off to the races. As an adult, my interest in astronomy led me to an interest in physics, and I wound up getting my Master’s degree in physics at the University of Washington in 1996. But astronomy is still my first love, by far. While I was a graduate student at UW, I started teaching astronomy at BC and I’ve enjoyed it so much that apart from a stint in the Peace Corps, I’ve been here ever since.
