Bellevue College’s men’s basketball team, who finished third in the North Region, drew Umpqua (Ore.), the South Region No. 2 team, in the opening round of the NWAC Championships which begin this Thursday March 9 at Everett Community College. The matchup is slated for 12:00 p.m. with the winner advancing to play either West Region No. 1 seed South Puget Sound or East Region No. 4 seed Big Bend. The matchup was announced during the NWAC selection show that was broadcast yesterday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Bellevue and Umpqua have previously met this year in preseason play, as Bellevue won 75-69 on December 4.<\/p>\n
