Battling tough conditions of heavy rain and wind, the Bellevue College men\u2019s golf team opened their spring season with a third place finish at Washington National Golf Course, played April 7-8. On day one, Bellevue sophomore Ryan Maul led the Bulldogs with a stellar round of one-under par 71, one shot off the lead. Second round weather was more favorable on Monday, leading to a charge by the BC Men. Sophomore standout Colten Kleis carded a one-under 71, Jack Strickland had 75, Eric Frank shot 76 and Maul, 76. “I am proud of the way the guys battled during tough conditions on both days,\u201d said head coach Kirk Johanson. \u201cThey stayed focused and finished strong. We have improved quite a bit and we feel good about our chances in the spring,\u201d Johanson said.<\/p>\n
