{"id":17533,"date":"2017-11-22T09:49:41","date_gmt":"2017-11-22T17:49:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/athletics\/?p=17533"},"modified":"2017-11-22T09:52:58","modified_gmt":"2017-11-22T17:52:58","slug":"bc-athletes-receive-nwac-academic-excellence-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/athletics\/2017\/11\/22\/bc-athletes-receive-nwac-academic-excellence-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"BC Athletes Receive NWAC Academic Excellence Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bellevue College was well-represented on the <a href=\"http:\/\/nwacsports.org\/index.php?id=14517&amp;cat=0\">2017 NWAC Fall Sports Academic Excellence Awards<\/a> with seven student-athletes named to the list.<\/p>\n<p>Four BC men&#8217;s soccer players received conference academic recognition: Liam Knox, Omar Paez, Sahaj Singh and Justin Warren.<\/p>\n<p>Women&#8217;s soccer players Brianna Manning and Meaghan White earned a spot on the list, along with Erika Weber of the Bulldogs conference runner-up volleyball team, which had only three sophomores.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications for recognition were to be a sophomore in eligibility, have a minimum of 36 credits earned, a 3.25 cumulative GPA and be recommended by the College.<\/p>\n<p>The 2017 Fall Awards list, released Nov. 20, includes four sports &#8211; men&#8217;s soccer, women&#8217;s soccer, volleyball and cross country.
