The game, played at a neutral site (Northwest University in Kirkland) due to gym construction at Bellevue, illustrated the difference size and experience makes as VIU, a four-year school, had a size and age advantage, outrebounding the &#8216;dogs 48-29. VIU&#8217;s Emily Clark was a perfect example of the mismatch, as the 23-year old fifth-year senior who stands 5-10 had 17 rebounds and 16 points to dominate inside. She had six offensive boards and was 7-for-10 shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Bellevue remained in the game until the final quarter, in part due to low shooting percentages by both teams. Vancouver went on a run early in the fourth quarter stretching the lead from eight to 20 as the Bulldogs ran out of steam. Jahdai Alcombrack led BC with 14 points. VIU goes to 7-3 overall while Bellevue fell to 3-5.
