After trailing in the first half and going into the locker room down nine at 36-27, the Bulldogs chipped away and finally overtook the visitors from Edmonds with an impressive second half, clamping down defensively to limit Edmonds to only 12 points in the final quarter.

Freshman Ashley Anderson had team highs of 13 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists to lead Bellevue. Amanda Luckett who continued her consistent play for Bellevue with a clutch fourth quarter, along with sophomore guard Sidney Schultz, were key figures in the pivotal fourth quarter. Schultz, who played only half of the fourth quarter, had a 100% shooting percentage from both the field and free throw line to score seven points and had two critical steals to lead BC’s charge in the fourth. Luckett had six rebounds and led the ‘dogs in the fourth with eight points.

With a lead of only one at 58-57 with a little over three minutes to go, it was Luckett’s bucket and an 18-footer by Schultz to give Bellevue a five point lead. From there Bellevue continued to stretch it out as a steal and three-pointer by Schultz put the Bulldogs up by 10, 67-57 with under a minute to go which sealed the win.

Bellevue now goes to 7-3 (11-11 overall) and is only a half game out of first place.
