This past week, the Bellevue College women\u2019s soccer team played two matches against Green River Community College on October 13 and Peninsula College on October 16.\u00a0 Both matches ended 1-0 in favor of Bellevue.<\/p>\n
In the first match against Green River, Captain Jamie Lindstrom broke through after both teams went scoreless in the first half.\u00a0 Her goal in the 57th minute, assisted by Jessie Oliver, was the only offense of the day. <\/p>\n
Against Peninsula, it was nearly identical how things unfolded during the match.\u00a0 Once again, both teams went scoreless in the first half and for the majority of the match.\u00a0 Lindstrom repeated her feat scoring the game-winning goal in the 80th minute, assisted by Brittney Conway.\u00a0 Brianna Jackson was in goal to record both shutouts.<\/p>\n
These matches were in stark contrast to recent games for the women\u2019s team as they had scored four or more goals in four of the last six matches prior to Green River.<\/p>\n
The NWAACC Coaches\u2019 Poll was also released for women\u2019s soccer, ranking Bellevue in 4th place.\u00a0 Next for Bellevue are home matches against Highline Community College and Olympic College at home on October 20 and October 23.\u00a0 Start times are 2PM and 12PM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
