The Bellevue College men’s basketball team lost a tough battle against first place and undefeated Skagit Valley on Wednesday January 22 in a pivotal league game, losing 80-71. Skagit Valley was red hot shooting from the perimeter, scoring 27 points on 46% shooting from three-point range. Bellevue fell behind early, down by nine at half and could not recover. Austin O’Keefe continued his dominating presence in the league with 28 points.<\/p>\n
The Bulldogs then traveled to Peninsula on Saturday January 25 to round out the first half of league play. At a location that is always tough to win at, the Bulldogs came up big with a 76-66 win. Jalen Ward had 19 points while Anthony McLaughlin and O’Keefe had 16 apiece. McLaughlin also had 10 rebounds.\u00a0<\/p>\n
