Bellevue College men’s basketball fell to host Tacoma last night 86-78 in a shootout from long range as the two teams combined for 43 three-point goal attempts. The Bulldogs put up 25 from the arc but converted only 9 as one-shot opportunities doomed BC as Tacoma outrebounded the Bulldogs 53-40. Bellevue fell behind by 10 at 39-29 at halftime and played evenly with the Titans in the second half but could not overcome Tacoma down the stretch.<\/p>\n
Marshall Clark, Bellevue’s force down under, was solid again with 21 points on 8-or-11 shooting. The big man from Friday Harbor HS also led the squad with 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocked shots. Trevon Richmond continued his scoring prowess with 19 points and 5 assists while freshman Christian Lakes had a breakout game by going 3-for-4 as the lone Bulldog with a hot hand from three-point range. The freshman tossed in a season-high 13 points.<\/p>\n
Bellevue is now 1-5 on the year and will travel this Friday to reciprocate with host Walla Walla who Bellevue defeated at home last week. Bellevue takes on Columbia Basin at 4:00 p.m on Friday December 6 as part of the Walla Walla Warrior Classic.
