Bellevue College women’s basketball flexed their muscle in a dominating 63-42 win last night in Mount Vernon. The Bulldogs controlled the game defensively with a 50-29 rebounding edge which allowed the ‘dogs to get off 74 shots in the game, including going 10-for-25 from three-point range.<\/p>\n
After being down 18-13 in the first quarter and holding a slim 28-24 lead at halftime, Bellevue dominated the second half allowing Skagit only 18 total points in the half. The 21-10 third quarter blowout put Bellevue into cruise control as the ‘dogs had 10 offensive rebounds alone in the quarter. Addy Clabby, Mo Bungay and KK Bracy all drained three-pointers in the scoring spree.<\/p>\n
The win was one of Bellevue’s biggest team efforts as 10 players scored and collected rebounds as well. Freshman Rokki Brown led Bellevue with 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.<\/p>\n
Bellevue is now 1-1 in league (8-4 overall) and will host Whatcom this Wednesday January 15 at 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
