He was a two-time cross country individual champion in 1979 and 1980, one of only four men to win back-to-back titles. He led his Bellevue teams to conference crowns during those two seasons.<\/p>\n<p>He helped the Helmsmen track team to runner-up finishes at the conference championships in 1980 and 1981. His 30:30.91 time in the 10,000 meter run in 1981 is still an NWAACC record.<\/p>\n<p>After Bellevue Orly went on to compete at the University of Colorado and is part of their Alumni C-Club, winning varsity letters in cross country and track in 1982, &#8217;83 and &#8217;84.
