The Bulldogs women’s basketball team got revenge on the only team to beat them in league play by defeating Skagit Valley by a score of 56-48 on Wednesday February 19. The Bulldogs then followed up the win with a victory on Sunday February 23 over Peninsula by a score of 67-62. The win on sophomore night clinched the outright North Region title with a 13-1 league record.<\/p>\n
In the win over Skagit Valley, the Bulldogs took advantage of the cold-shooting Cardinals, who hit only 25% of their shots all game. Alexis Berrysmith led the way with 12 points and also led the team in rebounds with 10.<\/p>\n
Against Peninsula, Airashay Rogers had a memorable sophomore day with 21 points and six rebounds. Down by one at halftime, the Bulldogs reeled off 40 points in the second half in the comeback win.<\/p>\n
