Andrew Croft, Bellevue College\u2019s men\u2019s soccer head coach since the fall of 2013, is himself a soccer player and will be traveling to Chicago March 15-16 as goalkeeper for the Tacoma Galaxy, a Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL) team, that won the 2014 Northwest Division Title. Croft played collegiate soccer at Pacific Lutheran University until his junior year, then started playing competitively again after a trip to Uganda in November 2012. Upon returning to the States, Croft started training with the Tacoma Stars in December where he played until joining the Galaxy just this year. In his keeper position, Croft had a Northwest Division best, 3.5 goals against average (the next closest was 5.7), and the third best percentage in the entire PASL League.<\/p>\n
His wife, Tafara Pulse, is also a professional women\u2019s soccer player, playing midfield for the Sounders Women. Croft said, \u201cIf it wasn\u2019t for her, I wouldn\u2019t have even taken the idea (of playing competitively again) seriously. She is my biggest inspiration and supporter.\u201d<\/p>\n
