Bellevue College volleyball handled region-rival Edmonds in a 3-0 sweep last night at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. Marin Mackey carried the ‘dogs with a dominating performance that featured 15 kills and 12 digs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a match that is typically a five-set affair, the Bulldogs took advantage of a relatively new Edmonds squad this year with no challenge other than the opening set (25-23). BC cruised 25-16, 25-17 in sets two and three respectively. While Bellevue wasn’t necessarily firing on all cylinders, hitting at a .160 percentage, the front row kept Edmonds’ offense in check ans the Tritons’ hitting efficiency dwindled down from .024 in set one to .000 in set two to -.132 in set three. The Tritons committed 25 errors as Bellevue’s middles were simply dominating with 18 block assists on the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Makenna Mosher was the main force at the net with seven block assists while Jeanice Gamez added three. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
