Bellevue College women’s basketball won their opener over the host team of the NWAC Crossover at Chemeketa in Salem, OR tonight by a score of 43-34. The game marked the debut of two newcomers to the team this season in Gwen Aasland and Celia LaGuardia. Aasland pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds and scored 12 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Down 18-14 at halftime, BC outscored Chemeketa 29-16 in the second half. In the pivotal third quarter Aasland was three-for-three from the line while Sav Huerta had six of her team-high 14 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
