{"id":27457,"date":"2022-12-17T13:55:14","date_gmt":"2022-12-17T21:55:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/athletics\/?p=27457"},"modified":"2022-12-17T13:55:14","modified_gmt":"2022-12-17T21:55:14","slug":"womens-basketball-wins-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/athletics\/2022\/12\/17\/womens-basketball-wins-again\/","title":{"rendered":"Women&#8217;s Basketball Wins Again"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Bellevue College women&#8217;s basketball finished off the weekend going undefeated as the Bulldogs beat Blue Mountain 60-55 today in the final round of the NWAC Crossover Tourney hosted by Chemeketa Community College in Salem, OR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bulldogs got off to a hot start in the first quarter which ultimately propelled them to the win as they sped out to a 19-10 first quarter lead. Sav Huerta was hot early on as was freshman Kristina Blauman who had a breakout game for BC. Huerta was two-for-two from three-point land while Blauman led Bellevue with seven points and three rebounds in the quarter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blue Mountain whittled the lead to three in the second half but clutch free throw shooting by Bellevue kept them at a distance. Newcomer Celia La Guardia was one of many who came up big sinking both ends with 3:51 to go pushing Bellevue back up by five at 56-51.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Huerta ended the day five-for-10 from three-point range for 20 points to lead the &#8216;dogs while Blauman ended the night with 14 points and six rebounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bellevue is now 7-2 and will take a holiday break before resuming action again on December 28 against Walla Walla at the Lower Columbia Holiday Classic in Longview.
